How can I sort out discussion postings by student names in my Canvas course?

Discussions in Canvas are held via a reply method similar to those on Facebook or Reddit. Subsequent replies are nested to the “original post”. Because of this nest structure, you can’t sort the discussions by name. You can find a specific student’s post or find all unread. There are also options to collapse all replies so you can focus on a particular post.
