The cost of construction, planning, and other work for the Carrier Library renovation was supported by a capital project fund approved by our Virginia legislature and Governor. This means that the funding for the project has no impact on salaries, other construction projects, or the cost of attending JMU. The project was approved for funding from the Commonwealth of Virginia’s capital project fund after a decade-long needs assessment process, and will benefit our campus and broader community for decades to come.
