Open the JMU Library Catalog record for a book, video, or other item that is checked out and click on the Request button, found in the upper left part of the screen.
During the request, you’ll get to choose where you want to pick up the item. An e-mail is sent to the library user that currently has the item checked out to notify them that someone else placed a hold on it.
- If the item has already been checked out for four weeks, it is due back in a few days or it will start getting late fees.
- If the item has not been checked out for four weeks, it is due back four weeks after the original check out.
You can log on to your account from the Library Homepage and see the status of anything you have checked out or requested.
